MOODBOARD#02 AUTUMNAL STATE OF MIND
As the chill in the air arrives and the days shorten, we close our windows and draw our curtains. Most of us have been spending more time at home than ever during the different stages and variations of lockdown and isolation. As Tricia Guild says “Colour has the power to evoke an emotion, change a mood, uplift your spirits and make life feel better”; this has never been more relevant.
Whilst we don’t necessarily change our interiors each season in the way we swap our summer linen dresses for our winter merino, there is no doubt that climate has a real impact on our interior selections and there are certain colour palettes and textures we associate with colder or warmer months. Changing over scatter cushions on the sofa and moving artwork around the house, is an easy way to reflect the seasons and the mood of the times.
The colours, patterns and textures we see in this moodbaord were selected for their subtle nod to autumn and more importantly for their uplifting and calming effect that one could enjoy all year around.
