Designers Guild Sneak Peek
Maison et Objet
Designers Guild released 14 new collections of fabrics
and wallpapers at Maison & Objet in Paris in January.
The collections range from Sofienberg prints on beautiful
cottons and linens and Linnaeus wallpapers with the
most gorgeous topiary design, to dazzling DG Unlimited
prints, Rigato tumbled linen stripes and Around the
World DG Kids.
Sofienberg, the main decorative prints
book reflects the calm sophistication of the Gustavian
era, characterised by a pared down classical simplicity
and a muted colour palette. Featuring a range of weaves,
prints and wallcoverings the designs in this collection
are both accessible in scale and usable in either traditional
or contemporary settings.
Following on from the success of the Barcelona
and Manhattan prints, Designers Guild have expanded
this year’s release to include a coordinating
range of prints and weaves. Miami Prints are inspired
by the decorative interiors and subtropical flora of
Florida and the Florida Keys. The designs are graphic,
exuberant and colourful. Deltona Prints and Weaves is
a destination book for stripes, voiles and plains, designed
to coordinate with the Miami, Barcelona and Manhattan
prints.
DG Kids is back with Round the World
fabrics and wallpapers, and DG Essentials includes new
colours in the hardwearing Mezzola, plus Brera Rigato
linen stripes in a huge range of colours. And of course
there are also new cushions, throws, floor rugs, bags,
candles and bed and bath – all adding up to Designers
Guild biggest ever release!
George and Andrew are showing the collections
now. For further information call George or Andrew on
