Designers Guild launched the Royal Collection Fabrics and Wallpapers in 2008. The Collection has been inspired by the magnificent interiors of Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle, official residences of Her Majesty The Queen, and by the works of art in the Royal Collection. Held in trust by The Queen for her successors and the Nation, the Royal Collection includes paintings, drawings, manuscripts, prints, ceramics, silver, tapestries, arms and armour.

Designers Guild was given access to the extensive archive of historic fabrics and wall coverings, and has also carefully studied the interiors of Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle.

This is the first licensing arrangement of this kind that the Royal Collection has undertaken. Designers Guild has been honoured to present the inaugural collection of jacquard woven silk damasks, embroidered silks, silk velvets, sumptuous jacquard velvets and wonderful flock printed and surface printed wallpapers.
