James Hare was founded in Leeds, West Yorkshire, in 1865 and is now run by the 6th generation of the family.

The company is renowned for its beautiful silks, and since 1999, James Hare has expanded into the interior design industry.

The collections range from plain dupion silks in every imaginable colour, to embroidered silks, damasks in silk and wool, and a very beautiful upholstery check and stripe.

The colouring is subtle and beautifully coordinated.
