Cole and Son have been involved in printing the world’s
finest wallpapers since 1873. Located in North London,
the factory produces Handblock, Screen Print and Surface
Printed wallpaper. Over 4000 hand carved wooden blocks
help make up one of the world’s most distinguished
wallpaper archives.
Cole & Son has become the prime source of authentic
period and contemporary projects. Cole’s wallpapers
can be found in a multitude of famous buildings including
Buckingham Palace and the White House.
Building on these wonderful traditions of
innovation and design, Cole and Son took the interior
design world by storm in 2004 when they launched the New
Contemporary Collection – a relaunch of designs
they developed in the 1950’s with such designers
as Una Lyndsay and Michael Clark, and again in 2005 when
they launched New Contemporary Two.
The rest is history and Cole and Son are
widely credited for being responsible for the world wide
revival of interest in wallpaper for cutting edge interiors.
Worth noting is the fact that almost any Cole’s
design can be done in a custom colour for an order of
10 rolls.
Cole & Son wallpapers and fabrics are
available through selected interior
designers and retailers throughout New Zealand.
